Helga specialized in Dance and Health, training on 'The Art of Touch' Programme with Lucinda Jarrett (Rosetta Life) and Miranda Tufnell in the facilitation of dance and movement work in dementia and end of life care settings. Since, Helga has worked extensively in Dance and Health. In 2013/2014 Helga held a one year residency at Marymount University Hospital & Hospice, facilitating movement work with small groups and in one to one sessions as well as offering staff training on the purpose and benefits of creative movement work in end of life care. From 2014 - 2016 Helga worked as lead artist for dance and project manager on the 'Fuse Arts and Health' Programme with MusicAlive, facilitating creative movement projects and managing artist residencies in care homes and hospitals. Since 2019 Helga is artist in residence with MusicAlive in collaboration with choir conductor Susan McManamon on the Creative Enquiry - Arts and Older People Programme, an initiative by Cork City & Cork County Council (Arts Council Invitation to Collaboration Scheme).
